Today, the connection from the sensor device to the embedded cloud takes place via real-time data communication, on sensor and edge level - for example Industrial Ethernet or fieldbuses - and gateways , which provide the transformation of real time data into the informational area.

Kontron Delivers the Latest Hardware-Based Security Technology on a Compact Form Factor
Announcing the Kontron COM Express COMe cSL6
Augsburg, GERMANY, November 25th, 2015 – Kontron, a leading global provider of embedded computing technology (ECT), announces the availability of the Kontron COM Express COMe- cSL6.TheKontron cSL6 is based on the COM Express compact standard form factor and 6th generation Intel® CoreTM i7, i5 and i3 processors. With 16 GB DDR4 soldered memory and 32 GB SLC on board SSD, the Kontron COMe-cSL6 can deliver just about any application to any market.
Security features include TPM 2.0, AMI UEFI, and optional Intel® vProTM technology (vPro capability only onCoreTM i7and CoreTM i5 eligible processors when paired with eligiblevProTM capable Chipsets; Q170 for DT and QM170 for MBL), with Operating System support for Windows 10, Windows 8 and Windows 7 and Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows Embedded Standard 8, Linux 3.18 and VxWorks 7.
Customers can take early advantage of the significant features and benefits including increased memory, and faster graphics and processing performance.
The key for Kontron with these new processors is security. The 6th generation Intel® Core processors enable security down to the IO level of the board. Kontron will be announcing more on the security topic in early Q1.
Kontron Vice President of Kontron R&D Product Management Reiner Grübmeyer reveals that “the Kontron COMe-cSL6is a core product that will aid in actualizing Kontron’s IoT roadmap and delivering on customer requirements.”
Samples for products based on 6th generation Intel Core processors are now available for customer test.
