The 10” Endurance Tablet is the first product of a new mobility Tablet product line
Augsburg, Germany, November 24, 2015 – Kontron, a leading global provider of Embedded Computer Technology (ECT) announces the 10” Endurance Tablet, the first product of its new Endurance Tablet product line.
There are many rugged tablets on the market but Kontron’s Tablets take the user experience to the next level with the most brilliant display on the market and broadest set of already integrated I/O and connectivity functions. Equipped for extreme environments, the Endurance Tablet functions submerged in water, covered in dust, high heat, frost, shock and even after dropping.
The 10” Endurance Tablet has two options. The RT-KT-XX Tablet ships with either Intel® Atom™ processor E3827 that supports both Windows and Android OS, or 5th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor with Windows. Both Tablets have up to 8 GB memory, powerful 8 hour hot swappable battery with option to extend up to 13 hours operation and many connectivity functions including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE (optional), Bluetooth V4.0, GNSS (GPS/Glonass/BeiDou). Rugged capabilities include IP65, MIL-STD-810G, and 5 feet drop resistance.
The Kontron Endurance Tablet differs from other tablets on the market by providing 1000 nit sunlight readable display, and capacitive multi-touch that supports glove touch, water rejection, and palm rejection. Additionally, this tablet comes with with a comprehensive set of accessories. Customers can also choose Kontron’s Global Service options which provide extended warranty, accelerated technical support, hot swap exchange, and professional services anywhere in the world.
