This role is to drive significant growth for Kontron’s core and standardized products. It is critical to the success of the sales region Northern Europe, identifying, acquiring, developing and driving partner channels to create opportunities and deliver new revenue. The role must also build and manage channels that produce opportunities and revenue already. The role reports to the Director EMEA Channel Sales. The sales region Northern Europe covers the following countries: UK. Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway
* Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets * Prospect, secure meetings, and close new channel business with key decision makers in specified target accounts. * Attend sales call appointments with Channel Sales Rep's to support sales opportunities. * Leverage and work with distribution to acquire, enable and activate partners. * Consult with prospects to determine the best solutions for their specific business needs. Recommend solutions, prepare and present proposals and get contracts executed. * Penetrate existing Kontron accounts to identify and advance indirect sales / channel opportunities. * Drive custom development efforts when required to secure and support strategic new business opportunities. * Log sales activity (prospecting, opportunities, revenue, next steps) in salesforce.com. * Deliver accurate forecasts. * Collaborate with the marketing organization to plan, deliver and manage an effective communication and demand generation campaign for each partner across the region. * Align with Kontron Channel Marketing / Demand Generation teams to launch targeted channel campaigns and outbound marketing efforts focused on partner acquisition and opportunity creation at partners customer base. * Implement business plan with agreed business targets and revenue goals * Conduct and present quarterly business reviews with partner as well internally. * Travel, as required, to meet prospects and customer face-to-face. Up to 60% travel.
* 3+ years of channel sales experience in the B2B space with demonstrated success. * Demonstrated experience developing new business relationships; a true “Hunter” mentality who strives for the close. * Bachelor/Masters of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; or related field is required. * Must be a "self-starter", highly motivated to accomplish desired goals that he or she requires little supervision or direction to achieve them. * Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment with changing needs and requirements. * Must have superior written and oral communication skills. Fluent in French, Spanish and English (corporate language), Italian is a plus. * Must have the ability and skills to develop relationships quickly, both internally within Kontron and externally with prospects/customers. * Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions including Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, and Product Management. * Ability to converse in a knowledgeable manner on various industry topics and technologies in order to “sell” opportunities to prospective partners/customers.
