Kontron to talk NFVi/SDN migration strategy for CSPs at MWC 2017

Augsburg, Germany, February 8, 2017 – Kontron, a global provider of cloud and carrier-class infrastructure platforms, confirms today that it will be exhibiting at the 2017 edition of Mobile World Congress. The primary goal is to showcase the practical options available to communication service providers to make the short-, mid-, and long-term transition to “open services” using network functions virtualization (NFV) infrastructure and software defined networking (SDN).

Kontron will be in Hall 5, Stand 5H41 during MWC in Barcelona, on February 27 – March 2, 2017.

While the picture for NFVi and SDN is getting clearer for some operators, it still remains an intricate venture for others. The MWC event will be an ideal opportunity to learn how in many use cases the transition from legacy- to virtual-built services can deliver yearly operational cost savings of up to 60% and rack-level space savings of up to 77%.
