FieldWorks Announces Organizational Change

Eden Prairie, Minn., July 10, 1998 - FieldWorks, Incorporated (NASDAQ: FWRX) today announced that Ronald E. Lewis, President and Chief Executive Officer, has resigned. David C. Malmberg, Chairman of the Board, has assumed the additional responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Malmberg has been a management consultant since 1994. From 1972 to 1994 he was employed by National Computer Systems, Inc. in various positions, including 15 years as President and Chief Operating Officer. National Computer Systems is a leading provider of information systems and services to the educational, commercial and financial markets.
